The Year of the Vicar : Week Eight.
My thanks for the ongoing GC's Black Dog style Hogwarts sherbet lemonade fizzing e-howlers, which plague my in box. Such pointy wonders as "well?", "Really?" and "See you in hell!".
Rumours of my demise have, as the great man said, been a little exaggerated. I am indeed decaying, but at a tolerable rate. The Vicarage has been decaying at a rather faster rate, and the last weeks have seen an unprecedented invasion from the building fraternity, and an accompanying rise in my contribution to the billion pound profits of the Royal Bank of Scotland.
I have escaped to DGM world central to avail myself of a computer and a quiet bolthole.
So. The year. How progresses it?
1. Chronicle the Third.
The tickets are booked. Punk flies to Seattle on Saturday. The third book of lies will then be deemed ready to pollute the minds of the unsuspecting. (and the misguided, such as the unfortunate Penny, who arrived at Punk's grubby corner "by accident while searching for Clarity and Purity". A likely tale).
2. Songbook the First.
The sings are written, the orchestra is poised, if only Punk and the Vicar would pick up the baton. This is the next major body of work, once the focus shifts from Chronicle the Third.
3 DGM subscription site.
Beast. RF has been posting updates. This will set a standard for artists. Diaries, concert recordings, photographs, reviews, exclusive webcams, hot tickles. But at a "cruel but fair price". This will become part of the work and the revenue stream of the artist.
4. Bfpd.com.

5. New US distribution.
At the start of the month I wrote "A contract is signed. The Fedex leaves today. Money shall flow. Riches beyond our wildest dreams are unlikely." The first payment arrives on March 16th.
6.New European distribution
The boxes still wait to be moved.
7.New Fripp collaborations.

The builders have called. The work continues all next week. I have phoned to book myself onto a plane to Seattle with Punk.
